Our made to order Structured Packing has been uniquely designed to provide an extremely effective scrubber packing. 2 inch sections of layered, PVC coated, fiberglass material are compressed and bonded to create an extremely high number of microventuri passages where air streams are directed and forcibly dispersed through the scrubbing solution. The absence of voids and random air paths creates a nonclogging, intimate, and highly efficient mixing of the air stream and scrubbing solution.
The high scrubbing efficiencies achieved by the structured packing are a direct result of its unique design and construction. The tortuous paths through the packing ensure complete mixing and dynamic surface regeneration of both the liquid and gas streams. The structured fiber bed consists of sintered layers of PVC strands to create a ultra efficient concurrent packing. It has a surface area of 1200 - 2400 ft2/ft3 with 62% void space. Ideal for difficult separations requiring a large number of theoretical stages in low liquid rate absorption/stripping sytems or, applications that require a wide operating range (turn down). This is due to very low pressure drop across the bed and superior liquid spreading characteristics over the packing surface.
